I am The Star!

So today I was preparing for my class, looking for something, I can't remember what, when it pulled up an image from someone's mySpace account. On the page was a link to this, and, being a quiz, I couldn't resist (I used to spend some amount of time at work doing those tickle quizzes - my celebrity look-alike was some random asian and if I were a dog, I'd be a cocker spaniel and all that - ). So I took the quiz, and guess what?

I'M A STAR!

no, I mean, I'M THE STAR!

You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

A chinese one, no less!

So then I made matthew take it.
And guess what?

He's a chinese star too! I mean, what are the odds?

So, take the test. Maybe we're all stars. THE Stars.

The funny thing is, I just was looking for "tarot quizzes" to find out where I had taken that test, and one of them was on tickle. It had a little flash animation where you shuffle the cards until you're ready and then you pick three of them, one for your past, one for your present, and one for your future. Then they blitz you with about a million weight-loss ads, then it shows you your present card and tells you that you need to spend $7 to see the past and future. So, forget that. Tickle's gotten way more scalp-happy since I last visited. Well - anyway... guess what my "present" card was?

THE STAR!!

That's ME!
I'm THE STAR!!!!

I'm the High Priestess.
I guess I don't get to join your "Star Club".
I'll just have to start a "High Priestess Club" of my own and invite persons who share my interests and also possess a crescent shaped crown which they wear upon their heads representing a williness to share knowledge with others. We are a wacky lot, us High Priestesses, with our scrolls containing arcane knowledge and our tendency toward moodiness.
Actually, I really just want to start a club so I can have my own fancy decoder ring. Cryptography is fun.

I don't get to join the Star Club or the High Priestess Club ... but apparently I can have a club all of my own. Because I'm "The Lovers" ... not just one Lover, mind you, but "The Lovers", *plural*. Well, at that rate, who needs anyone else?

I'm in the club! I'm a star, too.

I am the Emporer.

Alas, all my subjects have dropped dead. It seems that, being Emporer, I instill both love and fear in amounts unsupportable by the frail human physique. Thus, some of my subjects suffered brain aneurisms, stroking out as they prostrate themselves in mindless adoration of the Imperial Presence. Meanwhile, others kicked the bucket when, for fear of my terrible beauty, their hearts burst inside their very chests.

Basically, the Emporer is a child. Seems about right to me!

Hmmmm. The Emporer was yesterday. It seems that today, I am the Hermit (I went back to re-read the Emporer before posting the previous comment and, in re-taking the test, I must have done something different).

Despite the Emporer's childishness, the Hermit actually seems a bit more appropriate to my misanthropic nature. The Hermit does not desire to socialize (check). The Hermit desires "retirement from current events" (check). The Hermit is an individual of introspection (check) and analysis (check). The Hermit has a desire for peace (check) and solitude (mostly check).

And it's aneurysm, you stupid Emporer. Not aneurism. I hate that guy.

It's also Emperor, you stupid Emporer. No wonder you hate that guy.

No, no. It's the emporer. The dude who puts pores on your face before the stork carries you down in a burlap sling to your pure, chaste, non-copulating parents. Duh.

No wonder I never comment on this damned thing. I hate both those guys.
